The average person takes about five to seven showers per week (not including baths). The importance of taking regular showers is quite obvious; you need to keep clean, it is not only healthy, but it also makes you look and smell good. However, if your shower cubicles are dirty themselves, some of that dirt is likely to come in contact your body. Showering in a dirty shower cubicle is not good, so it’s important that we learn to clean our bathrooms properly.
Clean bathrooms are comfortable to shower and do our business in. If the bathroom is dirty and smells bad, you will not be comfortable cleaning yourself off inside. Of course, even if we do regularly clean our bathrooms like we should, different materials tend to deteriorate over time. Things get rusty, leaks may occur, and so on and so forth, and in order to avoid these problems it is recommended to upgrade bathroom parts regularly. One component in particular, the shower hose, tends to get quite dirty and rusty over time.
A shower hose is the piece of the shower that is connected to the faucet, allowing water to pour down from above. If the hose is fixed to the wall, it will deteriorate slowly. However, most hoses are not attached to the wall; the user can move them around and spray him from whichever angle he/she prefers. Therefore, the hose is constantly being moved around, and the hinges and other parts start to give very slowly. It is best to buy new shower hoses when you start noticing problems or large amounts of dirt or rust. Once the decision to change the hose is made, selecting a new hose is relatively easy. all you got to do is go down to the nearest hardware store and pick out a hose you like, make sure it is the right size though.
Another part of the shower cubicle that tends to break down regularly is the shower arm. Shower arms are the metal handles attached to the sides of the stall. The handles are placed in the stall to help people stabilize themselves in case they happen to lose their balance. You can also hang items on the handles, like wet clothes or certain types of body wash containers etc. If you notice that the handles are wobbly or unsteady, you should try to remove them and call up a local plumber and see if he can replace them for you. Of course you will need to buy a new shower rail for your shower.
Just keep an eye out for parts of your bathroom that look like they are ready to give way. Try and keep your bathroom looking good at all times, it will make you feel much better.
